Rules

In-Character Rules;
1. Each feline is expected to respect their superiors; the leader, deputies, magistrates, and lead ranks. Consequences will vary depending on what your character has done to break this rule.
2. No auto-hitting, godmodding, or powerplaying! To define "godmodding" and "powerplaying", I pretty much mean being an illiterate "NO MISS, NO DODGE, NO NOTHING" little douche with godly powers, if you lack the knowledge. Do not perform any of that, unless you wish for an immediate kick. Same goes for auto-hitting, but an example of auto-hitting and of not auto-hitting is the following:
"He struck the feminine's shoulder, creating a bleeding gash" <-- Auto-hitting.
INSTEAD;
"He attempted to strike the feminine's shoulder, to create a bleeding gash" <-- The chance to dodge, hence "attempted"; not auto-hitting.
If you are found to of been auto-hitting, you will be warned, and if you fail to stop you shall be kicked.
3. Do not post only a single sentence, sentences in run-on, or post-cut. Once someone has created a lengthy post and you reply with only one sentence, it is incredibly annoying. If your mind is that blank, don't even bother coming on, really, and go get some sleep or relax. Or, try to converse with someone else who is not roleplaying, go do other computer stuff, etc. If the person does not mind, then that is fine. We are very strict with run-on sentences. Commas exist, periods exist, indentations exist, grammar exists. Learn it, use it, have a good time in RidgeClan. The thing with post-cutting, is that I only mind it if you're roleplaying with a certain group of people, on which someone is already in the middle of a post and then you cut it off with your own. If you're not interacting with a certain person who is in the middle of their post already, then it's not exactly cutting them off, since they don’t have anything to do with what you’re doing and you don’t have anything to do with what they’re doing. Other groups tend to distort that into “you can’t post when a hunting patrol’s heading out and you’re sharing prey with someone on the other side of the camp”. Breaking the rule of single-sentencing will result in a redirection, post-cutting will result in a warning, and run-on sentences will result in a kick if you are very aware that your post has no indentations.
4. Ask permission. By this rule, I'll put in the obvious, but not limited to, things that you must ask permission for. You must ask permission from an opponent to kill off their character - not just randomly do it out of the blue, which is counted as auto-hitting. You must ask your leader or another administrator if wanting a tragedy to happen in the clan (illness, several injuries, etc.). You must ask if you want to do an act of interbreeding with another clan. This is all to avoid confusion, anger, and several different things happening all at once that are not necessary in the slightest, due to us having many events planned out for the future. The penalties of breaking this rule vary from a warning to a kick depending on the immensity of what you started.
5. Keep "M" or "F" out of your name. That stuff is for your biography. And if anyone mistakes you for the opposite gender, for either being too beautiful to be a male or too badass and manly to be a female, oh fucking well. Correct them and move on, it's not the end of the world. You will be asked to remove either the "M" or "F", and if refusing to do so, you shall be kicked.
6. Only subtly change your appearance. I say this because, it makes it much harder to memorize your character, character name and your own person if you drastically change your designs. Stuff like growth is allowed, and eye-type changes; very little alterations in color, though, with the entirety of the character features - like a slightly lighter/slightly darker hue is allowed and whatnot, or a close color like solid gray if you're already using a gray-brown scheme. You will be warned and asked to change back to your former color scheme if you look extremely different, and the refusal of such will result in a kick. If you're just then creating the character, however, and testing out multiple designs, that's an exception.
7. Medicine cats may not have a mate in this roleplay without breaking the rules. I realize other roleplays willingly allow you to do it, but this one follows that rule of the Warrior Code. You can't be healing cats, and at the same time care for a mate and kits. Ask before doing an act of forbidden love, however. If there is not much drama at the currency, or no extremities on their way, your request will likely be accepted. You will also be stripped of your rank, exiled, or even killed depending on the decision of your high ranks. If you do not ask your leader and decide to try and pull off this stunt by yourself, upon being discovered you will be kicked.
8. Warrior Code-- I absolutely loathe the roleplays that force you to follow all of the Code. Sure, members of RidgeClan will be entirely expected to follow Condorstar's rules, but that will only happen if the specific character is obedient. I highly suspect people to turn traitorous against the clan, trespass, offer generosity to enemy cats, disobey the leader's or other superiors' demands, and run off to become a loner or kittypet. Of course, for most of this to take place, you must ask for permission of your leader. If you do not gain permission from your leader and decide to try and pull off one of these stunts by yourself, upon being discovered you will likely be kicked, as other drama is likely to be happening at that time.
9. Character amount. You may have up to four (4) active characters in RidgeClan; you may have four clan characters and no non-clan/imprisoned, yes, but you may have only ONE non-clan/imprisoned character if any. No more, no less, nothing different. You may also continue to roleplay your dead characters, but certainly not be the most active on them, because no one but a highly spiritual feline or a medicine cat will be able to see and interact with you. If you exceed this character amount, you will be asked to delete or remove whichever characters from this roleplay to get back to the accepted amount, and refusal to do so will result in all of your characters being kicked.
10. Character Sizes.

You may not be very much smaller, or much more taller than what these screenshots depict on your rank. However, you may be a few smidgets under or over, as it tends to look a bit better or you can't get those exact measurements.
11. You may use the following body forms;
Tails: Thick Tail, Rounded Tail, Lynx Tail, Tailless
Manes: None, Side, Center Half, Side Half
Ears: Pointy Ears, Caracal Ears, Cow Ears, Goblin Ears, Neko Ears, Cat Ears, Ghoul Ears
Tufts: All
(Living) Eyes: Normal, Slit, Black, Black Slit, Whole, Whole Slit, Contracted, Blind, Blind Slit, Contracted Slit, Fire, Ring
(Deceased) Eyes: Pupiless, Orb, Glow Orb, Full Orb, Glow Slit, More Glow, Glow and Shine
Markings: Anything realistic (way too many to list, I think you guys can tell what's acceptable)
Items: Ear Feather, Ear Ring Feathers, Pink Earring L, Pink Earring R, Rose Behind Left Ear, Rose Behind Right Ear, Spiky Earrings G, Spiky Earrings S, GZ Whiskers, ALL COLLARS (including O-Collars, Chain, Chainlink and Spiky), Dragon Teeth (deformity), Goranopsid Fangs (deformity), Rose In Mouth, Saberteeth (deformity), Twig
Keep that in mind.
12. There may be only two (2) albino cats active in this roleplay at once; this is your only exception to use red/pink eyes. You must follow realism with them having some sort of deficiency, either full or half deafness or blindness, etc. Understandably, your character will be labeled as a "freak" by most other characters in the clan, due to the extraordinary and basically demonic physical traits. *Zero out of two (0/2) positions have been filled. Upon discovering more than two (2) active albino cats at once, an investigation of who came first will follow through and the person, or persons, who exceeded this amount and never even told an administrator will be warned and asked to delete them or remove them from RidgeClan. Refusal to do so will result in a kick.
13. Ranks. If joining as a kit, you must be a kit for a minimum of five (5) IRL days, and then following through to an apprentice you must have an entire fourteen (14) days of training, at minimum. If you are not online for, say, two (2) days, then you will have to spend an extra two (2) days as an apprentice after the first two weeks have passed since your ceremony, making it a full fourteen (14) days of training. Warriors are permitted to become elders at the minimum age of fifty (50) moons, but if severely disabled before that time, are to be moved to the elder's den earlier than regularly. You must wait a total of seven (7) days subsequent to character creation before killing off your character entirely. If you are found to of lied about the amount of time you were a kit, or the amount of time you were an apprentice or trained as one, you will be warned and demoted to whichever of those ranks to do full time, if not kicked.
14. The aging system - by the time you're a warrior, you will begin following this system. Once you're a warrior, your character will age a moon between every fourteen (14) and twenty-eight (28) days. I will not set a specific number standard, and will instead trust in you members to age to your own fair accord of either every fourteen (14), fifteen (15), sixteen (15), etc. or twenty-eight (28) days. This way, you people who want to become ancient as fast as possible can age once every two weeks, and you people who want to stay young forever can wait up to four (4) weeks until the deadline. You will be confronted if proving to exceed or fall under the proper time ranges of aging.
15. Kits. By the time a she-cat gets a mate, and she wants to have a litter of kits, a site that rolls a virtual dice will be used to determine the number of kits in that litter. The leader will go to THIS site, roll ten (10) dice, and choose the fifth (5th) dice rolled. That will be the number of kits in the litter. Of course, this number will not remain the same if the she-cat wants to have another litter in the future, or if it’s a completely different she-cat. It all depends on the fifth (5th) dice rolled, every time. *Note that for every number, it is subtracted by one (1); if it shows a one (1) on the dice, the litter is a miscarriage. If you get a two (2), then there is only one kit in that litter. If you get a three (3), then there are two kits in that litter, and etc. If you, a queen, goes against the number of what the dice said, either exceeding or falling under the amount (if not a miscarriage), you will be confronted and warned and asked to go to the correct amount, and refusal in doing so will result in a kick.
16. Roleplay in third person. “Third Person” = using words like "he, she, it," or "(your name) did this, did that". It tends to get on my nerves when people do stuff like "I would go", or "I would do", which is first person. It irritates several people, in fact, and I want everyone to have a decent, well-liked and well-known style of roleplaying. I've never met anyone with a problem with third person, and if you do, then you'll not be welcomed into RidgeClan. If found to be roleplaying in a style other than third person, you will be warned and asked to switch to third person. Refusal will result in a kick.
17. Climate. We will be experiencing the seasons properly in this roleplay, listed as the following;
Leaf-Bare -- Winter
1. There will be little to no prey during this season; one out of four hunts will be successful for every cat.
2. Many cats will go hungry; ensure to RP that your cat has become skinny with hunger.
3. There will be high chances of snow which will coat the ground, and only white cats will be able to properly blend in with it.
4. The weather can become extremely cold, and to warm up, cats must go on patrol, attempt to hunt, or be close to another cat so they can share body heat.
5. Most to all bodies of water will begin to freeze up, and if cats need a drink, they may have to eat some snow.
6. There will be no herbs growing during this time. If medicine cats run out, there are low chances that they will find anymore unless asking another clan for some.
7. Even when the sun is up, the temperature will still be cold. Use more moss in nests to keep warm. When night falls, it is the coldest temperature of the day.
Newleaf -- Spring
1. The trees will have little to no leaves on them, and any cat in them will easily be spotted by prey and other cats.
2. Prey will still be scarce, and cats won't catch something every hunt. Every two out of four hunts will be successful.
3. The prey will gradually begin to return, but don't always hunt as the prey numbers will remain low.
4. The ground will be covered in leaves, and every cat will make a small amount of noise when they step upon them. The only places that won't be covered in leaves will be the gaps between trees where not as many leaves will fall, and general IceClan terrain.
5. The weather will still be cold, and elders and senior warriors will feel the effects of it more potently than the younger cats.
6. Many of the herbs will have died off over Leaf-Bare, and if medicine cats run out of herbs they won't be able to restock until later during the season, which is generally to the middle-end of New-Leaf.
7. Rivers and other bodies of water will still be iced over, some thawing around the same time that herbs grow back and others, like the ones in tundra, not until a little ways into Green-Leaf.
Greenleaf -- Summer
1. The trees will have regained their leaves entirely and may be used to full capacity to hide in.
2. Prey will be plentiful; three out of four hunts will be successful, and four out of four if the cat is a talented hunter.
3. Foxes, coyotes, badgers, eagles, hawks, and other natural predators will generally be seen more during this season.
4. As it gets hotter, cats must take time to take a drink, as they wouldn't be able to survive a long period of time without a drink due to the levels of heat.
5. The weather can sometimes get very hot, so cats may have to hunt and patrol during the darker hours of the day to keep cool.
6. As it gets hotter, the medicine cats are to ensure their herbs are kept cool to keep them from dying too quickly.
7. There will be some days where it will rain, sometimes in little amounts and sometimes in higher quantities. Make sure to RP that the ground is slippery in the aftermath.
Leaf-Fall -- Autumn
1. Leaves will begin to fall from the trees, which will result in them no longer good for hiding.
2. The number of prey will begin to decrease, as they will begin to take shelter for Leaf-Bare. Chances of a successful hunt will be three out of four, but as the season stretches on it will become every two out of four.
3. There will be leaves on the ground that have fallen from the trees; try to avoid them while hunting.
4. The weather will remain warm but will start to cool down, and night will approach earlier than usual.
5. As the weather begins to get colder, the elders and senior warriors will begin to suffer with aching bones.
6. Medicine cats are to gather as many herbs as possible without killing the plants, to ensure they have enough stock to last over Leaf-Bare.
7. There will be many, many more rainy and winds days, and high chances of flooding.
Information will be added in the future, so check back regularly for any updates.

Out-Of-Character Rules;
1. Everybody is to respect each other in this roleplay. If people are found bashing one another, they will be warned or kicked depending on how severe the offense. You will have a total of three (3) warnings for minor offenses before you will be kicked from RidgeClan, and you will not be welcomed back under any circumstance.
2. Do not spam, flood, or do any other such terms of what you clearly understand I'm getting at. I understand if you're excited about something, but keep it to its limits, because it can be incredibly disruptive to those around you. You will be given a warning each time you disobey this rule, the third (3rd) resulting in a kick from the roleplay.
3. Absolutely no OOC drama. Take it in either whisper, party, or a secluded/different area, because no one who isn't involved with it wants to deal with your bullshit. If you continuously disrupt others in this manner, you will be kicked.
4. All swearing is allowed OOC. If you are sensitive to swearing, I recommend you abandon your thoughts of joining/continuing to stay in this roleplay, because there will be a lot of it. Of course, you may not go entirely overboard with it, at my own demands. A bit too much results in irritated responses from even the most coarsest of people. If someone questions you to tone it down a bit, do so. However, if they're not in the right place to tell you to tone something down, if it being a simple "crap" or "shit" and nothing else, staff are expected to correct them. If you continue to unrightfully complain, you will be asked to leave, and refusal to do so will result in a kick if not already immediate.
5. Stay off the topics of rape, abuse, suicide, and etc. sensitive material OOC if it does not relate to anything IC - because quite frankly, all of this happens frequently in the wild. You will be warned, and if you don't stop you will be kicked.
6. Activity. Regular rankings must be on at least two (2) times a week, summing their total online time into at least two (2) hours altogether. If you cannot afford to spend that much time, then notify an administrator to avoid being kicked due to inactivity. If you're of a higher ranking such as the leader, deputy, council, medicine cat, or medicine cat apprentice, you are expected to be on even more than that; four (4) days a week, summing your total online time into at least eight (8) hours. You will be checked out regularly, and if not meeting these standards without a good excuse, demoted to a lower ranking and replaced to keep RidgeClan successful. And really, if your leader asks you to become deputy or apart of the council, DO NOT agree to it if you're going to be very inactive, because it's plainly unrealistic. ThicketClan is a realistic roleplay; if we have to get a new deputy every week, then that is unrealistic. Normal ranked members who fail to meet a time of two (2) hours total will be kicked due to inactivity if they do not have an excuse, as will high ranks if they fail to meet their times.
7. The suffix in your name cannot be capitalized. It wasn't in the books. You didn't see a FireHeart, you saw a Fireheart. If your suffix is found to be capitalized, you will be asked to lowercase it and if failing to do so, kicked. Simple as that.
8. Chats. Only the Local Chat is used for roleplaying, whereas Group Chat is to converse with those of your own clan. Parties may be created if you wish to keep a roleplay session particularly private with one or a few other persons, and of course Whisper Chat also. If you are out of range for anyone to notice you roleplaying, either move closer, roleplay by yourself and tell details of your posts to others if you wish, join a party with the people who care to read it, or do not roleplay at all.
